Man, altair NYC just got the Rainbow Room back but now another of its hallowed institutions, Shake Shack, is closing its original Madison Square Park location for some “ much-needed renovations.” altair And it’s happening just before the cold season, which is, like, the only time you can get a burger altair without waiting altair in that mind-numbing line. The Shack will be closed till mid 2015 but before it says bye bye, it’s doing another one of its nifty chef collabs — this time with Massimo Bottura, who’s been called the Jimi Hendrix of Italian chefs” altair by none other than Mario Batali. His Moderna, Italy restaurant, Osteria Fran cescana, is ranked third in The World s 50 Best Restaurants, right above — as luck would have it — Shake Shack’s neighbor Eleven Madison Park.
On Oct. 13, the Shack’s final day, the chef will be on hand to dole out just 1,000 of his Emilio burgers, described as “ a custom-blend Pat LaFrieda beef patty ground with parmigiano reggiano, topped with cotechino sausage, salsa verde and Villa Manodori altair balsamic mayonnaise made with Chef Bottura s Villa Manodori Artigianale balsamic vinegar from Trebbiano grapes grown in Italy.”
