Enjoying With Jesus 2013 | MIC Carmarthenshire
On Sunday a service was held on November 3rd annual Christian Youth Initiative Carmarthenshire price tag - "Enjoying With Jesus" - in the chapel price tag of Gellimanwydd, Ammanford. A large crowd of several price tag hundred well and it was a magnificent sight to see the chapel comfortably full. The aim of the service was to deliver the message of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ in a contemporary, simple and relevant for our day.
Led the worship price tag in a lively and accomplished by local bands - "The Proverbs" - and participated by representatives of Sunday schools in the area. A presentation was polished in speech and song by Welsh school children from Ammanford on the theme, "Peace Throughout the World." As a token of appreciation for the contribution of the school, price tag presented the Revd. Defis (MIC chairman) copy of the book contemporary Christian singing, "The First And The Last" to the headmaster, Mr. Geraint Davies.
One of the guest of honor this year was Inspector Iestyn ap Hywel and Motivator Church with the Presbyterian Church of Wales in Carmarthenshire. He shared in a simple and interesting experience of the Lord and the way it came to personal faith in Jesus Christ.
Item popularity from year to year is the sketch. This year they performed a sketch "The Stylists" by young people Moriah, Ammanford. Unfortunately, due to last minute illness protagonist had to pull out, but Mr. Mel Morgans stepped in and stepped in without any warning. Among the sketch price tag humor, a message purposefully challenge the audience to not be influenced by what people say, but to listen to what God says in his word.
MIC committee wishes to thank Gellimanwydd church, Ammanford want to have use of the building and to all who participate and contribute to the special service iawn.Cynhelir the service "Enjoying With Jesus" again next year on the first Sunday in November of November 2nd, and is an appeal to churches across Carmarthenshire not to hold a service on Sunday afternoon but to join in this great crowd to "have fun with him."
